TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Some area homeowners are putting all the recent rain to use — saving money and going green at the same time. Residents of Lafayette and West Lafayette can now buy a 55-gallon rain barrel for $25. The barrels, when BRIT and City of Fort Worth have added compost bins to their annual fall sale. The 45-day, online sale begins July 15 and runs to Sept. 7. The sale will feature Rain Water Solutions' 50-gallon, 100 percent recycled plastic rain barrel for just $72.50.
